I just got an amazing job offer for a college student; Part time assistant manager for good pay at a sweet clothing store where I would love to spend half of my pay check buying their over priced clothing. They would work around my school schedule and I already worked under the store manager there. So what’s the problem? I’m kind of dating the person who offered me this job and made it clear that if I took it we would have to stay on a “friends only” level.
I wish that I could say that he’s a shitty dude and I don’t absolutely love talking to and seeing him, but that’s not the case at all. He’s an awesome person, has a great heart, is a gentleman, and is extremely gorgeous. I really think if I took the job the whole friends thing would be a major issue. Other than that, and a kindofhecticbuticouldprobablymanage school schedule, I really do want the job and have been reassured that I can do it. I mean, that is the reason he offered it to me in the first place because I’ve worked with both him and the store manager before.
Ughhh. What to do. What to do.

With all of the recent stuff in the news about Penn State, I’ve noticed my Facebook feed blowing up with posts about it. The funny thing is, people that actually go to the main campus either seem to really care or not give one shit about it. It’s the people that go to branches of the school, like New Ken & Erie, that piss me off. It’s cool to have an opinion on it, no matter where you’re from, but don’t act like it’s affecting your or your school, because it’s not.
I keep seeing posts like, “I can’t believe something like this would happen at my school”, which was posted by someone from the New Ken campus. Um, you don’t go to school there. You’re three hours away. That’s like someone from BC3 freaking out about the rapes in Slippery Rock. I can’t stand it when people associate themselves with a college when they go to a branch of it that’s 5 minutes down the road from their house. It’s basically like going to community college except you pay more, but you still get all the benefits of not having to pay for room & board.
This reminds me of how another girl that went to New Ken posted about how “WE ARE PENN STATE!!!! NUMBER ONE PARTY SCHOOL YEAH BUDDY!!” While this was a year or two ago, it just makes me laugh that someone thinks that just because they’re under the PSU name that they can make themselves look like they go to THE Penn State in State College, PA.
You go to PSU New Ken AND go to the #1 party school? Where are all these parties? Your mom’s basement?

& it went something like this.
Little girl: So, you like got to see Taylor when you filmed this movie?
Me: Uhh yeah. I saw him shirtless too.
Little girl: OH MY GOD I HATE YOU SO MUCH HE’S SO HOT.
Me: Not really. He’s as tall as me, is tan and has too many muscles.
Little girl: :O What?! That’s so cute! You don’t like muscles? What do you like? NERDS?!
Me: Yes…

Tonight I saw one of my best friends from high school for the first time in 2 years. I expected it to be really awkward since we kind of left on bad terms and haven’t really talked much, but it was like nothing ever happened.
To be blunt, my senior year of high school was the worst year of my life and this kid did not make it easier. I liked one of his best friends and he would tell me constantly not to get involved with him because he would lie to be about the stuff he did/didn’t do, but I refused to believe him and look where that got me. I wouldn’t talk to him at all and now I realize that he was just trying to be a great friend.
It felt so good to finally be able to apologize for this and move on from everything. I’m glad to have one of my best friends back.
This is really long. Just sayin’. Hi. I’m bored.
Do humans carry souls?
I’m not entirely sure how to answer this. I think about what happens after death a lot and it’s really difficult for me to imagine my thoughts not existing so will I know when I die or not? I guess in a way I believe in souls because I honestly cannot see how a person can just fade away emotionally. Now, if we do have them, they wouldn’t be souls that you see on like TV and stuff of ghost-like images leaving people’s bodies. I think a human soul would be more like thoughts & ideals, etc. This is really hard to explain.
What about animals?
Animals have the same life cycle as humans basically, so the same thing I just said applies.
Was September 11th a government conspiracy?
I never believed it was then watched “Loose Change” and my views were completely changed. It may sound dumb that I let some documentary formed my beliefs on it, but it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the reported story.
Do you believe a plane actually hit the pentagon?
No. It was imploded.
Are the methods the U.S. is using to handle illegal immigration satisfactory?
Absolutely not. If you want to be a citizen of this country you can do it the right way or you should be forced out immediately along with any family members or children you may have had while in this country. This isn’t me being racist either. If I can’t go to another country without proper documentation you shouldn’t be able to come into mine without the same standards.
Do you think that John F. Kennedy’s assasination was a government conspiracy?
This is probably the only conspiracy theory I don’t believe in.
Do you believe that the moon landing in 1969 actually happened?
I’m kind of divided on this topic. On one hand yes, because I grew up with learning about it, but once I started thinking about it I don’t understand how they had the kind of technology at the time to do everything.
Do you believe in ghosts?
100% yes. There is a ghost that lives in my house and scares the living shit out of me all of the time.
Can subjection to violence in media lead to violence in the real world?
It depends. I think if young kids are exposed to it without any explanation of how it’s horrible (like a parent not explaining that shooting someone in a video game is wrong) then it may lead to that child being more violent when he’s an adult, but I think anyone with enough social maturity, probably by the time they’re 13-14, will know the difference from right & wrong.
Did O.J. Simpson murder his wife?
I honestly never followed this trial or read too much into it because I was too young when it happened, but from the little I know about it I’ll say yes.
Do you believe going to war in Iraq was the right thing to do?
No. It’s completely unnecessary. All we’re doing is raising oil prices and taking American soldiers away from their families.
Can we as people ever co-exist with eachother peacefully?
We could if we were all exactly alike and had the same views on everything. The entire world would be one dimensional (which would be horrible).
Do you believe the course of our lives are pre-determined by unseen/unknown forces?
Very much so. A lot of things have happened to me in the past that at the time I would consider horrible, but once time passed and I thought about it those things either taught me a lesson or taught me how to be a better person. There have also been various things that have happened that have a weird chain of events and have changed my life immensely.
Has democracy made the world a better place?
Meh. I guess it’s good that we’re not being ruled by Communists, but it’s still another form of power that people won’t always agree with.
Was the governments reaction to Hurricane Katrina acceptable?
The government’s? Yes. President Bush’s? No.
Are celebrities punished justly for crimes they commit?
I could go on a three page rant about this, so I just leave it at no, with main examples being Paris Hilton & Lindsay Lohan.
Can we ever win the war on terror?
No. It’s an impossible fight to win so we should just give up. There will always be evil people in the world and they’re not going to change because you march into their country with soldiers and guns. They are terrorists. They have guns too.
Are professional athletes over-compensated for their abilities?
Yes yes yes yes yes. Did you know pro athletes make more than the president? The president makes $400,000/year while a guy who kicks a ball at most 8-10 times a game can make anywhere from $1-6 million a year. The NFL lockout was total bullshit too considering those guys make more in a year than I’m probably going to make in my entire life.
Did the fabled people of Atlantis ever exist?
I know nothing about this.
Are there other intelligent beings in the universe?
Yes. I sometimes wonder about who is superior to us. There has to be something. Think about it. A dog can seem superior to an ant. We are superior to a dog. What’s superior to us?
Should the 1st Amendment protect all forms of expression, including those that may be offensive or harmful to others?
This is a funny question because I wrote a 10 minute long speech on this topic for class last semester. Basically, to sum it up, the 1st Amendment never specifies anything other than that we have the freedom of speech. Although I think hate speech is an awful thing I don’t think someone should be punished by the government for saying something that may offend me. It may suck, but if the 1st Amendment didn’t protect these freedoms the entire population would be in jail.
Is it better for one innocent man to be sent to death or 5 murderers to be pardoned?
This is almost as hard as the fuck one, marry one, kill one game I was playing yesterday. I’m probably going to have to say let the 5 murderers be pardoned so the innocent man can kill them when they get out then he won’t be so innocent & I won’t feel bad about him being sentence to death.
ESSAY QUESTIONS (One to two short paragraphs) Oh. I was answering with really long answers the entire time haha.
In the case of homosexuality, do you believe it’s sin?
Absolutely not. I’m not a big believer in what the bible has to say in the first place considering it was written by some random people. Also, if someone is gay and not a Christian how could it even be a sin? If you’re not Christian you don’t believe in sinning, so in their perspective there’s nothing wrong with it at all. I don’t believe that love was meant to be between a man & a woman. I believe that love was meant to be about being completely happy and sharing that happiness with another person no matter who they are.
Can the human race ever help the planet Earth to recover from the ecological damage it has suffered?
I’m not answering this because if there’s one thing I can honestly care less about it’s saving the world. It’s been going down hill since the industrial revolution. The damage is done. Get over it.
Will race/ethnicity always be an issue amongst differing peoples?
Yes. And let me firmly state that it’s not just the white people that cause all of the racism. It’s EVERYONE and most of the time the person that’s crying about someone calling them a racial slur is dishing them out as well.
Are you for or against abortion?
I’m for it. I think women should have the right to do what they want with their bodies. Accidents happen. Say a 16 year old girl gets pregnant. What’s worse? Her getting an abortion when the baby is half of the size of a fist or not having the funds to care for a child, have them be malnourished, not love them, leading them to get involved in drugs & alcohol & having their own children during their teen years. I would pick the first one. Also, in rape cases I think it’s necessary to be able to perform abortions because if I got raped I know that there is no way in hell I’m having something I have to look at everyday to remind me of something horrible that happened in my life.
Are you for or against capital punishment (i.e. the death penalty)?
Why?
I’m for it to an extent. I think if someone can be proven guilty without reasonable doubt they should get to experience the pain their victim went through, but on the other hand I would like to see them rot in jail for the rest of their lives. The death penalty almost seems like an easy way out in some cases. It’s almost like a lose, lose situation. I guess if they let the guilty rot in jail for a decent amount of their life (which they do because the death penalty process is so slow) then give them the death penalty that would be ideal.
FINAL QUESTION (3 part question)
part 1- Do you practice any form of religion? Why?
No. I don’t have the time or patience or beliefs to even care. I’m not going to worship something I’m not sure exists when I can be doing something I actually enjoy. It sounds harsh, but it’s the truth.
part 2- Do you believe that the writings in the bible can still apply to today’s world?
Yes and they can also be interpreted in various ways. Isn’t the bible just made up stories to teach people a lesson anyway?
part 3- Has religion made the world a better or worse place?
Seriously? Religion causes more war and hatred than anything in this world. Most wars that occurred, especially in earlier days, were because of different religious views. I think if religion didn’t exist the world would be a MUCH better place.
